After downloading, directly open the installation. When I click install, it gives me this error: "Before you can run vmware workstation, several modules must be compiled and loaded into the running kernel." I then tried to install it directly without a container, replacing any dnf call with rpm-ostree and rebooting properly. ![]() However launching the bundle install after it finishes successfully then tried to launch the application from the gui, it gives me this error: I first tried using Distrobox to create a containerized environment to work in and install stuff but that failed because any message/error boxes spawned by VMWare only had the 'unknown character' symbol (the empty square). Searching around the net, bring me to a conclusion that my kernel may not be the right one so need to update and apply a patch (any-any patch 113) in which also did. I installed kernel-headers gcc gcc-c++ kernel-devel I'm trying to install vmware workstation (VMware-Workstation-6.5.) in my new Fedora 11: ![]()
